CONCERN EDUCATION, ENVIRONMENT AND DEVELOPMENT (CEED) TRUST FUND

Introduction:

Though the education is the basic right of children beside love, care and protection, a large number of children in Nepal lack opportunity in attending school. These children are engaged more on household chorus such as baby sitting, helping parents in fieldwork and the income generating activities as well. But the most significant factor hindering education is poor socio-economic condition. Moreover, one couple bears more than five children in an average, which means more people need to share the limited income.

Though, the government of Nepal has announced free education till tenth standard, it has not practiced yet.

In this regard, CEED Trust has been established to solicit fund at local, national and international level to support children's education.

Goal:

To provide educational support to school aged children.

Target Group:

The beneficiaries are:

Squatter Children

Domestic Child Workers

Dalit Children

Child Porters

Restaurant Worker Children

Stone Quarry Children

Child Labour in Brick Kilns

Child Labour in Mechanical Works

These children are below sixteen years of age and are financially not healthy.

Objectives:

to support children in school admission

to support in stationeries and text books

to support in school uniforms

to support in recreational activities

Your support attempts to meet the expenses in tuition fees, school uniforms, course books, stationeries and other essential materials.

Activities:

CONCERN with the aim of supporting its target children in school education has established a "Education, Environment and Development Trust Fund" (CEED Trust).

CEED Trust has its own separate bank account.

CEED Trust has maintained a committee for the management of this fund.

The members in this committee are responsible to regulate the account.

The amount collected will be continually deposited in the name of CEED Trust.

The total amount collected is deposited in fixed account and the interest goes in supporting children for education.

Anyone, who is interested, can deposit fund in CEED Trust as his or her wish at any time. 

Process:

Though, any individuals, groups and organizations who are interested can deposit fund in the name of CEED Trust, CONCERN specially requests to the following group of people:

                International Friends

                Corporate Body

                Tourists

CONCERN, is successful in supporting over 300 children in different schools. To raise this opportunity for more children and provide them the educational right, CONCERN seeks your support, as it is not able to meet the necessity of its target group.

It is not a one-time grant. Hence, CONCERN welcomes your continual support if you wish.
